The Bar area and Restaurant attracts the usual casual social gatherings, where members meet to exchange (possibly slightly embellish) tales of their bowling success and generally putting the world to rights.
Organised events occur on the Bowling Green with bowling for all levels to enjoy in a fun and Social Environment.
Most club organised Social Events take place in the Function Room / Restaurant, with special lunches and dinners for occasions like Christmas, Mother’s Day and Birthdays. A regular favourite is the traditional Sunday Roast Lunch provided throughout the winter season.

Other events, include Quiz Nights, Horse Racing Nights (not the real thing) with races being screened on a large T.V. – There have even been Golf competitions held on the green (no spiked shoes allowed)! – Themed Events with Music and Dances of all types with or without food. On advertised occasions only – patrons are allowed to bring their own table snacks for the evenings event.
For the more active members there are Dinner Dances with either a Band or Disco providing the music.

A list of the forthcoming club organised events can be found at Social → Club Events.
There are other Social Activities organised by visiting clubs and groups. Bridge is also played within the club.
The 1066 Jazz Club meet most months providing music and dancing – Non-Members may obtain tickets from the information on their website or Facebook pages.
Other meetings include the East Sussex Astronomical Society, information on their website or Facebook pages.
Groups are encouraged to enquire as to the availability for functions – lunch or tea clubs etc.
The Office can provide advice regarding these meetings.
