BOARD OF DIRECTORS: MEMBERSHIP UPDATE
Firstly the Board of Directors would like to thank you for the 420 payments of subscriptions received during the recent payment week.
We are very pleased with the outcome at this stage considering the uncertainty of these times.
The club due to Government restrictions is not open at this current time as the board has remained constant that we would not reopen until we were back to the full service we provided before the first restrictions.
July 19th 2021 is now the new predicted Government restart date and we will be ready to proceed once given the go ahead.
To ensure continuity and to give our members the chance to pay their subs we have extended the payment time scale by post up to the 23rd of July
and to the club in person during the week of the of the 19th – 23rd July 8.30 am – 3 pm.
The main reason of pre payment at this time is to evaluate the numbers who are prepared to join so we can organise their summer and winter bowling seamlessly, this cannot be achieved if the normal date of the 1 October was used.
Membership continues to arrive by post and we hope that you will help us to make your club as good as it was before this awful disease which has affected us all.
Our number one priority through it all has been the health and safety of you the members.
We would also like to thank all of the rink organisers for their continued patience and support during the attempts to reopen and the members of their rinks who have supported them.
We have been very pleased that many of you have already shown your support by taking advantage by post and by hand of the offer to renew your expired memberships seamlessly without the need to fill out application forms again, if received before 23rd July.
Fees thereafter will be recalculated at 2021 prices.
We thank everyone who has shown their support in this way and we look forward to seeing you all soon.

HEATING AND VENTILATION
We recently asked our Heating and Ventilation Company to give us a confirmation in writing that Egerton Park Indoor Bowls Club’s Heating and Ventilation complied with the Government and our Insurance Company requirement of 20 litres of fresh air per second for each person who is in the club. They confirmed in writing that our ventilation system can provide 4000 Litres per second of filtered cold or heated fresh air for a maximum of up to 200 people in the building. The air in the building is changed up to 3 times per hour.
As we very often have about 100 members in the building at any one time, it was nice to know we have at least double the fresh air requirement for us all. Please tell your friends that our Club meets the requirements for Indoor Bowls Clubs.
CARPET NEWS MAY 18 2021
We thought that you would all like to know that during Lock-down the playing surface at the Club has been taken up and turned over and professionally cleaned. The underlay has also been completely replaced with a new Dales Underlay which has a Spec of 17 to 18 seconds running speed. We are sure it will now be a lot easier for everybody to get near the Jack.
As you know the Indoor Club reopens properly on Monday 21 June 2021 for Summer Bowling,
The programme will be limited but as full as possible, even getting back to rinks and practice with a few internal matches would be a good first step back to a full “new normal”
A Full Winter Programme will be put in place during the Summer.
PLEASE PASS THIS MESSAGE ON TO ANY MEMBER YOU KNOW WHO DOES NOT HAVE SOCIAL MEDIA.
