Men & Women

Dress code

For ordinary play

A mainly white sports polo top blouse or shirt with a collar either  from an approved list of bowls companies (Henselite, Drakes Pride,Taylor etc), or the current club shirt.

A maroon, white or cream waistcoat, pullover or cardigan

Grey trousers or women can also choose a grey regulation skirt or culottes (tights or stockings optional).

Smooth soled bowls shoes in brown, grey or white.

For matches

As above but white trousers, skirts or culottes. (please do not travel in whites)

Youth  

Any Boys or Girls aged 8 to 18 years can join as a youth member with fun coaching sessions, internal leagues and mini competitions on Saturday mornings 9:00 – 10:00 from September to April. All under the supervision of qualified coaches.

No equipment needed as there is free use of bowls and shoes.

Youth members also have the opportunity to attend the Sussex County Bowls Youth Academy and the English Bowls Youth Development School of Excellence which could lead to National recognition.

Many members of this section have gone on to represent Sussex in under 25s matches and have also progressed to County and National competitions.
