BOARD OF DIRECTORS: MEMBERSHIP UPDATE
As a result of the Pandemic and the closure of Egerton Park IBC for health and safety reasons on March 22nd 2020 all playing and non-playing members of Egerton Park IBC as of that date have now been notified that their memberships have expired.
The Board of Directors are delighted to announce that over 500 members have rejoined the Club seamlessly at 2020 prices and are now fully paid up until October 1st 2022.
Because the reopening of the Club has been delayed by Government decree until July 19th 2021 the Board of Directors have agreed to extend this seamless rejoining until July 24th.
We are aware of members who are not able for various reasons to continue bowling but wish to become social members so that they can continue to support the Club and keep in touch with old friends and these members are welcome to downsize at a payment of £15.
We are also aware of playing members who have joined other Indoor Bowls clubs and having made contacts there wish to continue bowling there. These members are also welcome to rejoin seamlessly as playing members at £75 and enjoy the benefits of bowling at 2 clubs
The Club cannot, however, offer social membership to players who have taken up playing membership with other clubs during the pandemic.
All other previous members who have not paid by the 24th July 2021, and not taking advantage of these offers at 2020 prices will have to re-apply after 1st October 2021 by signing new forms seeking Board approval and paying an
annual fee on acceptance.
Thank You for your continuing support.

HEATING AND VENTILATION
We recently asked our Heating and Ventilation Company to give us a confirmation in writing that Egerton Park Indoor Bowls Club’s Heating and Ventilation complied with the Government and our Insurance Company requirement of 20 litres of fresh air per second for each person who is in the club. They confirmed in writing that our ventilation system can provide 4000 Litres per second of filtered cold or heated fresh air for a maximum of up to 200 people in the building. The air in the building is changed up to 3 times per hour.
As we very often have about 100 members in the building at any one time, it was nice to know we have at least double the fresh air requirement for us all. Please tell your friends that our Club meets the requirements for Indoor Bowls Clubs.
CARPET NEWS MAY 18 2021
We thought that you would all like to know that during Lock-down the playing surface at the Club has been taken up and turned over and professionally cleaned. The underlay has also been completely replaced with a new Dales Underlay which has a Spec of 17 to 18 seconds running speed. We are sure it will now be a lot easier for everybody to get near the Jack.
As you know the Indoor Club reopens properly on Monday 21 June 2021 for Summer Bowling,
The programme will be limited but as full as possible, even getting back to rinks and practice with a few internal matches would be a good first step back to a full “new normal”
A Full Winter Programme will be put in place during the Summer.
PLEASE PASS THIS MESSAGE ON TO ANY MEMBER YOU KNOW WHO DOES NOT HAVE SOCIAL MEDIA.
